PhilanthroPay was developed as a product by Paytran in 2003 at the request of nonprofit organizations that needed a reliable, safe and inexpensive method for accepting donations.
PhilanthroPay was created as a for profit social enterprise by philanthropic entrepreneurs who recognized the growing demand for services provided by nonprofit agencies and organizations, and the shrinking funding for their efforts. Everyone of us needs to be part of some solution and do what we can with what we have. We decided to do what we know best. Creative social entrepreneurs using free market principles offer creative and urgently needed solutions.
PhilanthroPay holds that the investment in nonprofit organizations by enabling their supporters to contribute sustainable reliable funding, while performing every day, often mundane tasks will elevate us all and enhance our communities. Over the years it has evolved and in 2011 we will introduce to market the Philanthropistcard at the request of our nonprofit partners who need an inepensive method to apy their employees and clients and as a result of the drastic drop in their patron's ability to donate to their treasured causes.
Our experience in both the for profit sector and the nonprofit sector combine to serve the interests of all involved in the philanthropic movement.
